Abstract
ENSO (El Nino and the Southern Oscillation) is considered as a stochastic d river that excites the atmospheric anomaly states, such as Pacific North Am erican pattern. This can make 11-year solar activity forcing of climate fea sible through stochastic resonance - a mechanism that amplifies a weak inpu t to a nonlinear bistable system by the assistance of noise.
