Abstract
Improved syntheses for the 3-beta-D-glucuronides of the steroidal sex hormo nes 17 beta-estradiol, 17 alpha-ethynylestradiol and estrone are reported e mploying boron trifluoride diethyl etherate catalysis with tetraacetylated glucuronic acid or the corresponding imidate.
