Abstract
We report on the effect of electrochemical reduction on the magnetic and tr ansport properties of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 +/- delta nanoparticles. We have obs erved a large displacement of the metal-insulator transition temperature (b ut not of the Curie temperature, T-c) in reduced samples. This behaviour is consistent with the existence of a magnetically inhomogeneous state below T-c, caused by random oxygen elimination. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. Al l rights reserved.
