Abstract
A novel polyisoprenylated benzophenone (1) has been isolated from an ethano
l extract of Cuban propolis. Its structure has been determined using high-f
ield 2D NMR techniques. Compound 1 showed significant antimicrobial and ant
ifungal activity against a variety of bacteria and yeasts.
