Abstract
This study presents an experimental method for evaluating the cracking tang ential stress of concrete tested under shear-compression loading. This meth od consists in presenting the tests carried out on full cylinders in a loca l response - global response diagram and in determining the loss of strain homogeneity. A comparison of the results to the BPEL's criterion (the Frenc h code of practice) shows that OUT results are slightly lower than the crit erion but included in the safety area of utilization of this criterion.
