The experimental temperature and time dependences of real and imaginary com
ponents of Young's modulus of isotropic and oriented polymers is analyzed.
An attempt to describe them in the region of relaxation transition is under
taken with the help of relaxation spectrometry. For this purpose, the distr
ibution, function for the relaxation times is approximated by a rectangular
distribution. As a result, an approximate formula for the description of t
emperature/time relaxation of Young's modulus in the region of relaxation t
ransition is derived, suitable for both oriented and isotropic polymers.
