Closed-form analytical expressions suitable por CAD software packages are p
resented for calculating the quasistatic TEM parameters of the double-sided
coplanar strip line (DS CPS). Tt has been shown that the present transmiss
ion line reduces to practical values the characteristic impedance of the co
nventional CPS. Furthermore, the effect of dielectric overlaying on the qua
sistatic parameters of the DS CPS is discussed by using the present express
ions derived by the conformal mapping techniques. This paper's results are
