Nerve entrapments of the upper extremity - A surgical perspective

The surgeon's perspective of nerve entrapment lesions in the upper extremit y is discussed in this article. The focus is on the most common lesions of the median, ulnar, and radial nerves. An understanding of the anatomy and t he potential pathologies provide the basis for surgical treatment. Current treatment protocols are discussed with the authors' recommendations that ar e based upon experience and literature review.
