We have synthesized Bi-2212 thin films of Bi2LaxCa3-xCu2Oz with the composi
tion range of 0.2 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.7 by the
laser ablation method. Bi-2212 samples with the same range of composition h
ave not been obtained by solid state reaction except the sample with x = 0.
5. The film with x = 0.2 showed the highest starting temperature of diamagn
etic signal (T-cm) at about 78 K, and it changed from superconductor to ins
