The effect of laser treatment on the properties of plasma coatings made fi
om the self-fluxing alloy PGSR-3 with additions of titanium carbide, heat-r
esistant Ni-Cr-Al-Y alloy, and clad Ni-Al powders was investigated. Laser t
reatment increased the adherence of the coating to the substrate, density o
f the surface layers, and promoted the formation of structures with a unifo
rm distribution of alloying elements.
