Scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction are used to study the mo
rphology of particles of oxygen-stabilized Ti4Fe2Ox (x = 0.5 and 1.0) powde
r and the lattice parameters of these compounds Hydrogen absorption during
the first hydrogenation-dehydrogenation cycles is investigated The time cha
racteristics of hydrogen absorption and the reversible hydrogenation capaci
ty are determined. The correlation between absorption and structural charac
teristics is established. This correlation is sensitive to the oxygen conte
nt in the compound.
