A. Klarin et al., Problems with composite floor tubes in recovery boilers - Typical crackingmay have features of IG cracking, PULP PAPER, 100(7), 1999, pp. 64-67
Two kinds of cracking have been seen in the stainless steel layer of co-ext
ruded compound tubes. The most typical type of cracking is a TG cracking wh
ich usually starts from the outer surface and goes through the stainless st
eel layer. This paper shows that a composite tube with non-typical IG inter
face cracking has had a short time exposure to temperatures higher than 720
degrees C.
