Abstract
Two kinds of cracking have been seen in the stainless steel layer of co-ext ruded compound tubes. The most typical type of cracking is a TG cracking wh ich usually starts from the outer surface and goes through the stainless st eel layer. This paper shows that a composite tube with non-typical IG inter face cracking has had a short time exposure to temperatures higher than 720 degrees C.
