K. Matusek et Z. Paal, Reactions of n-hexane and n-nonane on Pt catalysts and hydrogenating off hydrocarbonaceous adspecies after reaction, REACT KIN C, 67(2), 1999, pp. 241-246
n-Hexane and n-nonane were reacted on Pt black, 6% PtSiO2, 0.8% Pt/KL zeoli
te and a 0.6% industrial Pt/Al2O3 catalyst. Selectivities were compared at
similar to 10% conversion. After reaction, the catalyst was exposed to H-2
and the hydrocarbons leaving the catalysts were analyzed. The amount of hyd
rocarbons left the catalysts decreased in the sequence Pt black> Pt/SiO2> P
tKL>Pt/Al2O3. The composition of removed hydrocarbons gave important - alth
ough indirect information on the possible state of "hydrocarbonaceous depos
its" during catalysis.
