Abstract
We present a 33-year-old man with severe unilateral congenital blepharoptos is associated with the Marcus Gunn "jaw-winking" phenomenon. The most impor tant factor in surgical treatment was elimination of the synkinetic reflex. We also thought that excision of as much of the levator muscle as possible was necessary. The result was both functionally and cosmetically satisfact ory.
