Z. Waggie et al., Kawasaki disease masquerading as anomalous origin of left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery, S AFR MED J, 89, 1999, pp. C157-C160
Although myocardial ischaemia/infarction is rare in childhood, it is a well
-described complication of both Kawasaki disease (KD) and anomalous origin
of the left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery (AOLCA). We describe
a case of Kawasaki disease appearing as an AOLCA in a 2-year-old boy with m
yocardial infarction.
