Abstract
The one-pot reaction of enantiopure nitroenone 2 with an aniline and benzal dehyde resulted in ring anellation forming two new carbon-carbon bonds and gave access to pharmacologically interesting dihydropyridine derivatives an d further to the analogous quinolines.
