Recent phytosociological data on the Thierache forests (department Aisne, France). II - The mesophilous forests of sandy-schistous Thierache

Thierache is a small natural region with a bocage and forest landscape whic h takes up the north-eastern corner of department Aisne. The forest vegetat ion has been studied according to the synusial phytosociological methodolog y. In this second part the author presents the phytosociological data for m esophilous forests of sandy-schistous Thierache. Three arborescent associat ions, one schrubby association and four herbaceous associations with their synfloristic and synecological characteristics are described. The main phyt ocoenosis are then reconstructed.
