A series of Ba1-1.5y LaySnxTi1-x O-3 (0 less than or equal to x less than o
r equal to 0.3, 0 less than or equal to y less than or equal to 0.3) solid
solutions were synthesized by means of soft chemical method below 100 degre
es C. XRD and d - spacing - component figures of the series of the solid so
lutions indicated that the products were substitutional ones. TEM showed th
at the product was substantially spherical particles with an average diamet
er of 70nm. The ceramics prepared fi-om the solid solutions showed that adu
lterating with tin and lanthanum in pure BaTiO3 phase obviously improved th
e dielectric constant at room temperature.
