Abstract
Communication: Metal-organo magnetic interactions involving lanthanides hav e become important in the search for molecular magnetic materials. Here is reported the synthesis of a holmium(III)-nitronyl oxide compound (see Figur e). The temperature dependence of its magnetic susceptibility reveals that it has a ferromagnetic ground state, which verifies theoretical predictions .
