The effects of reverse micelle (AOT/n-octane) on spectral characteristics o
f 2,3-diaminophenazine (DAP), which was an oxidized product of o-phenylened
iamine catalyzed by laccase, were investigated. It was shown that there was
little effect on the absorption features of the product by AOT/n-octane. H
owever the fluorescence of the product was greatly enhanced by AOT/n-octane
, and the quantum yield was increased about 30-folds by AOT/n-octane. The e
ffects of microenvironment on the fluorescent property of DAP and the mecha
nism of fluorescence enhancement in reverse micelle AOT/12-octane were also
studied.
