Abstract
The reaction of tetrakis (tri-tert-butylsilyl)tetrasilatetrahedrane(1) with trityl tetrakis[3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]borate (TFPB) gave protonat ed tetrasilatetrahedrane-monooxide, (tert-Bu3Si)(4)Si4OH+ (2(+)), whose str ucture was determined by X-ray crystallography.
