Abstract
A series of new carbosilane dendrimers carrying a mesogenic group, 5-((+)-2 -fluorooctyloxy) -2-phenylpyrimidine derivative, were prepared successfully . Although the dendrimers did not show any clear Sc* phases, it was found t hat all the dendrimers prepared were operative as chiral dopants.
