Abstract
Unlike in alkaline solutions, totally different oscillatory behavior has be en observed during the reduction of IO3- in an acidic solution, and the add ition of some organic substances in the alkaline solution varies the curren t range where the potential oscillations occur to remarkably different exte nt, depending on the electric charge, length of chain, and concentration of the additive. Some explanation is given for these new observations.
