Abstract
The heterogeneous fluorescence quenching reaction of (5,10, 15,20-tetraphen ylporphyrinato)zinc(II) (ZnTPP) in dodecane by methylviologen in an aqueous phase at the liquid-liquid interface was investigated by means of the cent rifugal liquid membrane method. The quenching reaction could occur only in the presence of an anionic surfactant, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). The qu enching efficiency depended on the concentration of SDS in the aqueous phas e with a maximum value of 13.5%.
