Abstract
Let v(A) be the extinction probability for a contact process on a coun table set S with initial state A subset of S. We prove that for any se ts A, B subset of S, v(A boolean AND B)v(A boolean OR B)greater than o r equal to v(A)v(B). We also prove an analogous statement for oriented percolation.
