Abstract
Highly efficient and simple reagent immobilisation procedure for an optrode membrane has been developed. The preparation procedure combines two well-k nown physical immobilisation procedures, viz. adsorption and encapsulation techniques, applied sequentially which, in turn, produce a combined optical sensing layer. The sensitive polymeric encapsulated membrane (PEM) contain s the polymeric resin, which can adsorb a large amount of indicator dye, en capsulated within porous polymeric structure. The procedure has been tested in the preparation of a pH sensor.
