Abstract
Reaction of hindered amines with alpha,alpha-dimethyl-4-piperidineacetyl ch loride provided 4-(2-aminoethyl)-3,3-dimethyl-2-piperidone derivatives by i ntramolecular rearrangement of the acid chloride.
