Y. Castrillejo et al., Electrochemical behaviour of copper ions in molten equimolar CaCl2-NaCl mixture at 550 degrees C., HIGH T M-US, 3(2-3), 1999, pp. 279-296
The electrochemical behaviour of copper chlorides in the fused CaCl2-NaCl e
quimolar mixture was studied at 550 degrees C using metal electrodes (W and
Mo), glassy carbon electrodes (GC) and a n-type semiconducting SnO2 electr
ode The kinetic parameters of the electrochemical systems using different e
lectrodes have been determined, as well as the diffusion coefficient of Cu(
I) ions We have also studied the copper electrodeposition process by potent
ial step measurements, which indicated instantaneous nucleation of copper a
t GC substrates.
