Abstract
Electromagnetic wave scattering from multiple rectangular apertures in a th ick conducting screen is studied. The Fourier-transform and mode-matching t echnique are used to obtain simultaneous equations for the modal coefficien ts. The simultaneous equations are solved to represent the scattered and tr ansmitted fields in series forms which are suitable for numerical computati on. The numerical computations are performed to illustrate the aperture tra nsmission and scattering behaviors in terms of aperture size, incident angl e, and frequency. The effects of the finite number of apertures on the tran smission characteristics are discussed.
