Abstract
The role of anti-DNA antibodies in the pathogenesis of SLE is as yet unknow n. A recent workshop* discussed the maintenance and loss of immune toleranc e to DNA and evaluated navel research directions, most notably anti-DNA tra nsgenic mice.
