Abstract
Recent methodological advances allow the analysis of clonal composition wit
hin T-cell subsets. Here, Mala Maini and colleagues review the available da
ta on clonality in acute immune responses and steady-state situations. They
highlight and explore reasons for the striking differences in clonality be
tween the CD4(+) and CD8(+) T-cell subsets.
