A control scheme is proposed for integrator processes with dominant time de
lay. It contains a local proportional feedback to prestabilize the process,
a proportional controller for set-point tracking, and a proportional-deriv
ative controller for load disturbance rejection. The control allows a decou
pled design of the load and set-point tracking responses. The tuning of the
scheme is simple. Simulations show that the proposed scheme has fast set-p
oint tracking and efficient load disturbance rejection.
