Ia. Khatri et al., THE CARBOXYL-TERMINAL SEQUENCE OF RAT INTESTINAL MUCIN RMUC3 CONTAINSA PUTATIVE TRANSMEMBRANE REGION AND 2 EGF-LIKE MOTIFS, Biochimica et biophysica acta. Biomembranes, 1326(1), 1997, pp. 7-11
A 3' RACE technique was used to establish the nucleotide sequence enco
ding the C-terminal 379 amino acids of rat intestinal Muc3. Unlike the
C-terminus of Muc2 and many secretory mucins, Muc3 contains two EGF m
otifs and a putative transmembrane domain. The mRNA for rat Muc3 is 7.
