Abstract
We report the surface modification of urethane-urea copolymer him by illumi nation with light in the blue region. Since this type of film does not requ ire any development processes and the modification is irreversible and ther mally stable, this material is expected to be the medium used in write-once optical memory. The light intensity required for the surface modification and the thermal stability of the recorded data, are discussed.
