B. Cichocki et al., Lubrication corrections for three-particle contribution to short-time self-diffusion coefficients in colloidal dispersions, J CHEM PHYS, 111(7), 1999, pp. 3265-3273
It is shown that the standard treatment of lubrication effects in many-part
icle hydrodynamic interactions leads to divergent three-particle contributi
ons to the short-time translational self-diffusion coefficient. To resolve
the problem the improved method to account for lubrication is proposed. The
translational and rotational self-diffusion coefficients of the Brownian s
emidilute suspension are then evaluated up to terms of the second order in
volume fraction. (C) 1999 American Institute of Physics. [S0021-9606(99)502
