Abstract
Carbon micro-coils were obtained by the Ni catalyzed pyrolysis of propane a s a carbon source which was pre-heated and pre-pyrolyzed at 1000-1100 degre es C. The obtained carbon micro-coils were mostly irregular double coils wi th a larger coil pitch of 1-5 mu m and larger coil diameter of 5-20 mu m th an that obtained using acetylene.
