We report highly accurate results of ab initio calculations of the energies
, widths, wavefunction characteristics and spectral trends of 22 hitherto u
nknown H- resonances of P-1 symmetry up to the n = 5 threshold, using as th
e cut-off criterion states with widths down to about 1 x 10(-10) au. Classi
fication into series according to spectral trends below the n = 3, 4 and 5
thresholds shows that in the latter case two series are formed for which th
e regularity expected from the Gailitis-Damburg model of dipole resonances
is perturbed by interseries interaction. No shape resonance exists in this
energy range.
