Abstract
This review deals with the solution-sol-gel processing (SSG) of powders suc h as BaTiO3, MgTiO3, PbTiO3, Bi4Ti3O12, La2Ti2O7, Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O-3, Pb(M g1/3Nb2/3)O-3 and Ba(Mg1/3Ta2/3)O-3. Fine powders of good sinterability can be easily obtained at low temperatures although the process can be expensi ve and time consuming. We propose a nanocomposite route which utilizes nano phases of different components as a cost-effective alternative to sol-gel p rocess for powder preparation.
