Abstract
Ultrasonic absorption in metals (degenerate conductors) in a strong magneti c field is investigated theoretically. Peculiarities in the orientational m agnetoacoustic resonance are discovered and compared with the known Reneker tilt effect. Special role of open Fermi surfaces is emphasized.
