Abstract
The results of an intensive three-week Mathematics course to assist fi rst-year students entering the mathematically intensive engineering de gree course offered by the Department of Electronics at the University of York are given. The course has been taken by students with U.K. A- level and BTEC (HND and ND) qualifications.
