Abstract
Based on a photolithographic approach, DNA-arrays were synthesized utilizin g phosphoramidite chemistry on a custom-built DNA-chip synthesizer. For tem porary protection of the 5'-positions of the monomeric units, 2-(2-Nitrophe nyl)propoxycarbonyl-groups (NPPOC) were employed that are easily removed by irradiation with light.
