Abstract
Observational data reveal that over large land territories the climate warming observed during last hundred years is mainly due to an increa se of the night minimal temperatures while the maximum day temperature s changed not significantly. A simple model results and considerations are presented which does not take into account hydrological cycle cha nges. They show that such a behaviour can be explained at least in par t by an increase of the greenhouse gases concentration in the atmosphe re.
