Dynamic transformation of an ultrafast space-time signal into an image is p
roposed and realized. The transformation is carried out in the sum frequenc
y generation of waves of spectral decomposition of two ultrashort pulses, o
ne of them containing a space-time signal. A monochromatic wave appearing i
n sum frequency generation contains a two-dimensional image equivalent to t
he initial space-time signal. The time scale, in which the transformation c
onsidered is possible, extends from femtoseconds to nanoseconds.
