Abstract
Continuous wave parametric amplification on resonance transitions in a doub le-Lambda level configuration in Na-2 molecules is demonstrated. Parametric amplification exists in spite of a high absorption coefficient for one of the generated fields. Theoretical interpretation of experimental results is given and effects of Raman gain on parametric amplification are discussed. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
