Results are presented from an analysis of a large sample of centrally produ
ced mesons in the reaction pp --> p(slow) (K(s)(0)K(+/-)pi(+/-))p(fast) wit
h 800 GeV/c protons incident on liquid hydrogen. Two resonances dominate th
e final state, the f(1)(1285), decaying into a(0)pi, and the f(1)(1420), de
caying into K*K. Both mesons are produced with equal amounts of /J(z)/(eta)
= 1(+/-), and no J(z) = 0.
