Abstract
A gas chromatographic method for simple and accurate measurement of is othermal phase equilibrium studies has been proposed and applied to: a liphatic alcohol (methanol, ethanol and n-propanol) + aromatic hydroca rbon (benzene, toluene, o-xylene, p-xylene and ethylbenzene) binary mi xtures. The present measurements on: benzene with methanol, ethanol an d n-propanol and toluene with ethanol are in good agreement with the i sothermal phase equilibrium data available in the literature.
