Abstract
The basic physical mechanisms of amplitude, frequency (phase) and polarisat ion nonreciprocities in ring lasers are considered. These effects have to b e taken into account both in studies of nonlinear dynamics of ring lasers a nd in their practical usage in laser gyroscopy, as well as in high-precisio n fundamental research.
