Abstract
The stability of transversely one-dimensional laser autosolitons in nonline ar media with a finite rate of relaxation of two-level atoms is analysed. I t is shown that, when the stability limits are crossed, oscillating autosol itons and/or autosolitons moving along an aperture are formed. The conditio ns for bistability between moving autosolitons and giant travelling pulses are determined.
