Abstract
Distributions of lanthanides between tri-butyl phosphate solution and molte n calcium nitrate tetrahydrate (Ca(NO3)(2). 4 H2O) were radiochemically stu died. The apparent equilibrium constants of the extraction reactions of lan thanides were determined and their characteristic systematics along the lan thanide series was studied. In comparison with the similar systematics repo rted for the extraction systems using nitric acid solutions, the characteri stics of the hydration of lanthanides under water-deficient condition of ca lcium nitrate tetrahydrate was discussed.
