Synthesis and characterization of boron-containing molecular sieves

The synthesis, physico-chemical characterization and catalytic activity of boron-containing molecular sieves (boralites) are reviewed and discussed. I ncorporation of boron in the silica framework of several phases has been as sessed by structural and spectroscopic evidence. Compared with the aluminos ilicate parent compounds, boralites display weaker acid strength sufficient , however, for catalyzing several reactions.
